ok… heres the scoop.
i have a imac g5 and a windows machine.
i have connected both machines to a ethernet switch (netgear)
windows machine works fine (im on it now)
the imac tells me that i am connected to the internet via built-in ethernet
and all is well… :thumb2:
BUT… when i go to safari, it tells me that i am not connected.
when i run diagnostics, i get green lights by: built-in ethernet, ISP, and network config… red lights by: internet and server.
DHCP has automatically assigned my imac a valid ip address, and all looks ok…
I have done everything i know to do aside from calling apple…
Any help would be ■■■■■■ appreciated…
