I put lots of time and effort into a fla a while back. It’s ok, but it’s way too heavy for anyone on a modem. I was hoping there might be a way to reduce the entire size of the .fla.
If I resized it (and i’m not sure how), would that reduce the file size, or, since the library items are the same, would it remain the same file size?
help please… if it is possible, please tell me how
i think it would stay the same file size however large it is but i aint sure, ther is a program around i think called flash optimizer im not sure which, compresses the movie with no loss of quality

well some of your questions can be answered:
graphically making your movie smaller wont change anything because vectors are used, and they contain the same info whether they are huge or small.
check your sound file if there are any and make sur they are compressed/not too big
jpgs shouldnt be too big although lowering res. shouldnt make them too heavy to load
using scenes increases file size
using embedded fonts too
too many tweens too
and hundreds of other tidbits
make sure you have a clean library/linkage and search the forums there are probably lots of posts about that
