Me and my girlfriend are getting engaged and I am looking for some ideas on how to propose…

I cut open the bottom of a box of Cracker Jacks, made a little prize package to slip the ring and a note in, and sealed it all up. We went out to dinner and the Winter Garden (I don’t think it’s there anymore. It got trashed when the World Trade Center came down), and I had the box out munching. She opened the “prize.”
TA-DA! Now we’re married.
I did something kind of cool.
My fiance was in a terrible car accident a couple years back and was in a coma for about a week. They didn’t think she was going to make it. They told me that even if she did she wouldn’t be the same person and they didn’t know what would come back. Well to make a long story short she did come back, and she is better than ever :love: We had been through so much together, over 3 months in rehab and recovery so I knew I had to do something special for her.
What I did was go around to some of her best friends, close family friends, my mom and her parents and a special nurse she had in the hospital that played a pretty important part in our life during those tough times. I asked them to talk about her in the 3rd person and describe what she ment to them. I was worried that I would have a lot of the same kind of stuff after everyone said thier piece but that wasn’t the case. There were personal stories, inside jokes and just a lot of things I could never imagine - it was just fantastic. Then I got on and recorded myself in front of a greenscreen so I could edit the background out. I talked about us meeting, our lives so far and where I saw us in the future. The whole time I had things in the background like short movies, places we had been, things that were special to us… just things that ment something.
Then I tricked her into us having a christmas party and inviting all her friends. I told them (her friends and mine) that I was going to give her this as a special christmas present in front of everyone, no one knew what I was really going to do.
Well we have everyone hudled around our Televison and start playing the dvd and we get to the end and I say “there is someone sitting beside you that has something he would like to ask you” - well it was me sitting there 
I get up, go down on one and propose to her. It was in front of about 20 of our closest friends and reletives and thank god she said yes!
You could always make a Flash or Powerpoint presentation with your proposal on it, and rent a movie theatre to play it on. If you have that kind of cash, that is.

well…whats she like?? Some things that are good for one girl are not as special for another.
From a females perspective I can pretty much guarantee that no matter how you ask her as long as you dont turn around and say hey by the way want to marry me and walk away…that she will be surprised, happpy and say yes…
