Masking News flasher

hi, I can’t seem to mask the news flasher tutourial. Is it becasue the text is a dynamic textfield and therefore I can’t mask it.

Still no luck. do I put the code in the 1st frame of the actions layer and put textfield in the var area. This should be simple but it is driving me crazy.

Select your textfield, in the propertiespanel click the “character” button and select one of the options;)

Thanks scotty, How do I add bold characters to it. Oh, by adding the characters, does that increase the files size.

For the bold type of the font, make an extra “dummy” textfield with the bold type embedded.
Embedding fonts will increase your filesize (depending on the font) with about 10-20kB:)
