Meh... Anyone know how to use Director?

I’m supposed to be using Director for uni work, but it makes NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!

I’m used to using flash/action script & this Lingo business is just a completely different language to me!!! AARRGGHH!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
