well, wat ya gutta do is make a metal texture ONLY with photoshop. This is way easy and is aimed at noobs. it shouldnt take very long. but some1 else can decide how long it goes for.:D:-\ :beam:
a metal texture on what… be more specific man
eh, just a plain metal texture. a flat jpg file. nothing fancy its aimed at noobs like me.
oi kh3mical, you sad little rubbish head, i mean comon, this is not the place for this kind of lame idea for a battle, this just helps you, how is it any good for a battle, you should place this in the help area at least,
ps. are you a boy or a girl ?
ppps. make a wik battle like who can make the best looking question mark!
mike
ps. i actually like you
ps. no pun intended
?
i am sad, and im a guy
Lets break it up ladies.
Khemical, I personally don’t think there’d be much competition for a metallic texture, you can only do so much, creativity and such isn’t used much in this type of work.
ok then…
Gold is a metal, does it count?
thats really cool, how’d you do that?
Thanks, I made a copper one as well.
I’m creating a tutorial. Check my site September 1st and it will be there.
looks great =)
wellity, wellity, wellity. look whos doing the sad battle which nobody likes now. ive had some major bagging-outage and now people are doing it. man im going crazy.
also,
i did like corrugated iron kinda stuff. not brushed metal like the past 2.
=)
mlk, that’s absolutely awesome! Did you do everything with PS? Can you teach me? Can I be your puppy?
lol, is that a photo?
looks like it, but me thinx twas done with dust and scratches, or something like that. But that is one hell of a texture.
doesnt look like a photo to me
totally PS (although I do have a plethora of good brushes)
here’s the psd if you want (rightclick-saveas): http://oliphony.online.fr/metallish.psd - it’s 3 meg so take a nice cup of coffee before starting the d/l
there are no ‘tricks’ to do it, I used a gradient, added lots of noise, motion blur (horizontal), added some lighting (filters>render>lighting or something like that), used a brush with dodge or screen (can’t remember cause I 'Ctrl-E’ded to the previous layer), then on another layer some clouds, changed the contrast of the clouds, played with the filters…
then I made lines on a separate layer, duplicated it and smudged the 2nd layer, and added some bevel-emboss to the first…
nuthin’ complicated =)
