A new NASA map shows how the sinking of Mexico City is uneven, with areas registering up to 2 centimeters per month.
Okay so 2 cm a month is a terrifying number once you do the math, and the “uneven” part is what would keep me up at night. it’s not “the city sinks, ” it’s “your block sinks faster than the next one, ” which turns into snapped water lines, buckled streets, and buildings getting twisted in slow motion.
