Has anyone been playing Minecraft here?
It’s a simple game developed (and being constantly developed, currently alpha) by one guy. The world is made of blocks and is randomly generated in such a way that it can produce some truly breathtaking formations.
You mine blocks for various materials, and can create amazing structures. There’s creative mode, where you can create blocks without having to gather, there are no mobs, and you can fly apparently. Or there’s survival mode where you get materials by making tools and mining/chopping wood/spading sand etc. When night falls hordes of scary monsters appear forcing you quite often to scarper for the safety of your little house. It’s really hard to explain why it is so much fun, but since i bought it (there is a free version but the £8 version has more modes and is more developed) i have been unable to tear myself away. I keep dreaming up plans for new wings to my mansion. Going to try and build a glass bottomed observatory platform across the bay where i plan on building my port. Maybe with a few waterfalls cascading off the edges. … there are so many possibilities it’s dizzying.
