P.S. Sorry guys, the freewebs is like turtle!
Nice, I like the site, the design and music though the freeweb is really turtle indeed:)
hmmm…its still loading so I decided to post. I would have to say this is the longest loading time i have had to wait for on a T1…i hope im surprised:beam:
…it finally loaded. And i have to say, i really like it. Very simple, but i think it fits in the situation. The frame rate I think is a little slow, but again…fits with this situation. Very clean graphics I might add. I likes…nice expensive jewlery:sure:
Thanks for your feeback welyss,
My client doesn’t wanna pay for the web hosting service, that’s why I could only put it up to the freewebs. The freewebs run slow but it doesn’t add any ads into your site, and unlimited bandwidth…
Anways, I’ll try to reduce the file size abit and see…
Also, I wanna make the music fade out when I turn it off… anyone knows how to do it??
lol…thanks garret… Ya, my client sells some really expensive jewellery… I wish I could have any one of those as I deserved… lol
Well, can someone tells me which free hosting is better than the freewebs.
crazy, they sell those spensive rings…and they cant afford a host?! come on!!
lol, j/k. No, I dont know of any free hosting. but…www.fatcow.com has 99$ for the year…pretty decent.
yeah they will probably reconsider this, I’m on cable and it 's still downloading…
tell them even a potential customer won’t wait for this long just to get some information, how long do you expect a 56K potential customer have to wait to get these information?
oh bye the way nice simple and clean design gud job
Great layout and design that fits the site… BUT!!!..
Transparent background? This can only be viewed in IE on Windows, so I see no point in your doing it.
688Kb is kind of large for a load time, especially on a slow server and if you were on 56K. I am on cable and I could have gotten some tea before it finished loading.
Some content was cut off on my monitor (guess this is caused by using No Scale or whatever in the publish settings)
It was incredibly slow, the transitions and everything (although I would not be surprised if this were my computers fault)
The file size is now reduced to 506Kb. The freewebs is a real turtle… it only provides 4Kb/s, I guess for those 56K users would probably get this bandwidth as well…
Anyways, thanks for your comment lostinbeta! But I wanna say if you think that the transparent bg which can only be viewd in IE is pointless… then I would say that my “site requirement” on the first page is also pointless… haha
Also the transitions only take not longer than a sec on two of my computers, and if u feel that even 1 sec is too slow for you… then maybe it shouldn’t have any transitions at all.
Ok Ok… comeback time :beam:
I see your site requirement is IE 6+, so this cancels out Netscape users? Not a wise choice with the rise of NS usage since AOL 8.0 switched to Netscape.
And for the transitions: Must of been my computer, it acts up sometimes, they aren’t 1 second, but they are quicker than they were before… much quicker.
And there is still the issue of it getting cut off in my browser because I am on 800x600. I see your requirement is for it to be 1024x768, but 50-60% of the web viewers still use 800x600, so… yeah, I say thats not a wise choice either.
I checked your site in Netscape (7) and it appears the same as it does in IE, which begs me to ask the question… why do you have a transparent bg?
It’s nice.
You have a very clean layout and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to use this site.
For what you have, the file size seems to be very big. Are you using the same images for thumbnails as you are for the larger images? They look as if they have been scaled down?
Not all the images look like they have been cutout properly. Some have and some haven’t.
#10044 says not for sell I didn’t look at them all but you might want to change the grammar
Although it is nice and clean, the overall design doesn’t really say elegance or jewelry to me.
The magnifying glass seems to lend itself to more of a scientific theme and the huge old fashioned record player seems a little over excessive just for a music on/off icon and has little or nothing else to do with the site or content.
Like I said, I do like the site and it is easy to see that it was technically very well put together.
lol…Thanks kel, I really like your comment… especially you point out the grammar’s error for me…haha… I just copied and pasted those descriptions from the document which provided by my client… didn’t have time to check out the language.
But I must admit that my English is not good enough, coz it’s not my mother tongue. :trout:
So I hope that I can catch a white chick before/on this V’s day to help me to improve my English…and to work on *SOMETHING ELSE… lol
P.S. Please keep on correcting the English for me, I truly appreciated that!
“this V’s day to help me to improve my English”
=to help me to=
eliminate the second ‘to’ to fix that up.
…Wow, that’s weird. laughs and wanders away
Ok folks, new url is here: http://www.hostultra.com/~mintexy
Check it out, it loads faster!
You call this faster!?!?!?!
Dude… this is so much faster is exceeds faster… it loads at jet speed for me…lol. I saw your preloader for like a second or less where on your other one I saw it for like 5 minutes or more.
is there a 2 hour movie after it loads??? if so what one…
lol it is taking alot of time to load though:smirk:
Hey Alex, did you see my last post on the previous page? If not, please go back and check it now!!!
How did you make that magnifying glass, did you get the picture from somewhere??
Awesome site !
I made the magnifying glass with photoshop. All the images in that site are my original stuff that I created on my computer, including the gramophone, but except those jewellery… lol :sure:
