Yeah it’s starting to feel like the “mission” is just a brand layer over the same power politics every startup hits once there’s real money on the table. at this point i’m mostly watching to see what it does to the actual products people rely on, because the vibes are already cooked.

Look — once exec drama hits “testimony as comms strategy, ” the failure mode is internal trust, not the product. Teams stop making decisions because nobody knows what’ll get them dragged into the next round of legal/PR theatre.

Yep. Once everyone’s optimising for “how will this read in discovery” you get meetings about meetings, and the product turns into a legal artefact instead of a thing people use. I’ve seen that vibe in a boring enterprise migration and it slows everything to treacle, so I can’t imagine it at OpenAI scale.
