Hey kids,

I recently re-made this site for someone, but i’m not sure how to fill it out. It looks naked to me. The content doesn’t seem to fit well, and i’m not sure how to make it look fuller. Any ideas?

re-made? so you’re just adding content? i would start from scratch, it doesn’t really say anything to me about her personality.

it looks pretty bland. try adding more colors. also, the text is kinda jagged, myabe add anti-aliasing?
and btw, modify the gradient in the background;)

I agree with hybrid, the site looks a bit plane(plain) - empty- because its just a gradient in the background with some buttons on top. Surf on the web and look for some photography sites, see how they filled it up.

That site isn’t quite what I’m going for grmlyn. Thanks for the comments and examples. Should give me something to work with.

Best I try do something with the site, make a sample, right now I’m watching prison break

I don’t think it’s quite there yet. It looks like you’re going for a “high fashion” type of look that alot of clothing designers use. Check out more of their sites. Alot of the major places use one company, which is why their sites all look alike with the full screen pop-up and the little box in the middle with all the content.

Do a google for:
Stella Mcartney
Gucci
Dior
Dolce & Gabbana
Versache

Definetely change your fonts. Awful. Try something more sleek, like a futura, or a helvetica light.
I work in high fashion so I have a better idea what you’re looking to do if this is the look you’re trying to go for.

Also, if the Pineapple Press is your website, you have a gramatical error on the very first page. “on” should be “an”.
