I’m getting a Mac Pro in about a month and was wondering if I should purchase Modo along with it. Does anyone recommend Modo? I’ve been reading about it and watching video demonstrations and it looks very fun and productive at the same time. I’ve used 3DS Max (which was okay, but frusterating), Lightwave (which was quite good) and Maya (which I hated.) Modo looks really good for someone who is a designer and isn’t a dedicated 3D artist or motion graphics effects specialist. Should I purchase it? (I would be getting a student version of the software at $189, even though that is super cheap compared to the full version, it’s still quite a lot considering I’m spending $2,300 on a Mac Pro and I’m a student with little money. hahaha)
