Is there a better place for this post ?
I have a load of MS office clipart photos, they are all *.mix and apart from MS photo plus or whatever it is how can I open these? Office 2003 doesn’t — even with added conversion tools — seem to be able to open them!!

Have the said .mix file saved on your computer somewhere. “My Documents” is easy enough since it’ll only be temporary.
Open up Microsoft Word and click on the “Insert” menu.
Click on “Picture” and then “From File…”
Find the .mix file that you have saved on your computer and insert it into the document. Now you should be able to view the image as a part of your Word document.
Now, in order to save it as a jpeg, just go to the “File” menu and click on “Save As.”
Save the document as a “Web Page” (again, let’s say in “My Documents”)
You won’t notice anything different, but then go to where you saved the web page document (in this case, your “My Documents” folder) and you’ll see that there’s the web page file along with a folder titled “filename_files.” Open this folder and inside you’ll find the .mix image saved as a jpeg. Then feel free to rename the image and place it wherever you’d like.

I tried that and when I get to Insert » Picture » From File … I select “All Files (.)” then one of the *.mix files and it askes me to convert it giving me a list, gif jpg wmf png and so on but then no matter which I select it says "an error accured while importing this file … "

Would it be possible for you to zip up and attach one .mix file? I wanna see if there anything else that work, and it would be easier if I had a sample file to mess around with. I do not have PhotoDraw or PictureIT installed, so I should be in the same category as you =)
