Herro.
I have recently found that iTunes, Winamp, and WMP all do not fit my needs as music players. Each one has goods and bads. Here are a few lists that sum up my thoughts.
iTunes
Things I Like
[]Its library management
[]Its playlist management
[]And I love how you can select a song from the library to play a song, and the library becomes the playlist. It doesn’t generate a new playlist (unlike Winamp and WMP. This is important because of the next point -
[]I can type the name of the artist, and the playlist/library auto selects that song. Winamp can do this, but it’s only for the library, not the playlist. WMP is the same with winamp.
Things I Hate (and I mean hate, not dislike)
[]No queueing songs (not in the normal playlist/library anyway. the party shuffle is another thing, and not useful for normal library playing)
[]It is bloatware.
[]It is laggy.
[]It takes way too much memory.
[]It is slow.
[]It uses way too much CPU time.

It is bloatware.
Winamp
Things I Like
[]Queueing. I love this feature.
[]It used to be fast, but now I’m noticing lagginess. I don’t know why. I am using the most basic skin. It could be because my library collection is getting bigger and bigger and Winamp’s playlist just gets laggy when that happens?
Things I Hate (and I mean hate, not dislike)

Library is separated from the playlist. Can’t select a song from the library and expect it to play/queue in the playlist.
WMP
Things I Like
[]It is fast. It is actually the fastest of the 3 players that I am experiencing right now.
[]That’s about it :-/
Things I Hate (and I mean hate, not dislike)
[]Library is separated from the playlist. Can’t select a song from the library and expect it to play/queue in the playlist. (same as winamp)
[]I HATE HATE HATE this: In the Now Playing playlist, the artist is not shown. like WTF. How the heck do I recognize whose song this is out of 5000? ■■■■ it WMP.
Hmm that about sums it up. So basically, I want a music player that is:
[]Fast (Only WMP, and sort of Winamp, has/have this)
[]Has library management (WMP, Winamp, and iTunes have this)
[]Library is a playlist (only iTunes has this)
[]Queues (Only Winamp has this)
[]Can type the name of an artist, and the playlist/library automatically selects the first song that matches what I typed (WMP, Winamp, and iTunes have this; but only iTunes incorporates this into the playlist)
[]Shows (at least) both artist and song name in a playlist (Winamp and iTunes have this)

For Windows
There I’m not that picky. I just want a player that has all those :geek:. Does anybody have any suggestions? I only need the player to play music (mp3) files, nothing else is necessary, but it needs to have all of those points above.
