Hi,
I am debugging an application that was written by someone else. (^(&^*^
Anyway, in one part of the program it plays a sound when a letter is typed. The user types “a” the program says “a”. It’s to teach spelling.
In the develepment environment everything works fine. I’ve tested it tons of times.
When I publish to a stand alone .exe, every once in a while when a letter (different letters in different words each time) is typed the sound doesn’t play.
If you type another letter, thatsound plays and while it is playing the sound before it that didn’ t play, starts and plays simultaneously! It also exhibits this behavior if you simply click on anything that will accept a mouse click after you’ve typed a letter and the corresponding sound doesn’t play.
I’ve also tried playing the .swf file (not the .exe) and it works ok too!!
Any ideas? Is this a bug?
I am using MX r79 to develop and publishing the .exe to flash player 6. I am, however, playing the .swf with Flash player 7.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
