Comments Please

Hmm … looks good =) Maybe a little bit of blue universe reflection … If you could add that and animate it like a flyby, it will be even greater :thumb:

[EDIT] I just keep discovering stars :stuck_out_tongue: [/EDIT]

i’m no 3D whiz so people might pick it apart more than me but that looks really cool!

where are all my :alien: friends?

:thumb:

come on it was my first 30 min using 3DS max 5

how the hell can i do all that stuff;)

i will improve it and animate it, this was a starting block

yah that would be quite an ask especially for the first half hour of use…

how much does a copy of 3D SMax 5 go for these days?

Lol, I spend like at least 12h on 3d progs, but I have no clue how to do something like that. Are you sure it wasn’t a tut in 3dsmax ? jk, nice work man

There’s a tute for that! It comes with 3ds max! I’m sure it is! Cool though

Yeah it’s the beginners tutorial Syko!
But it looks good!

Reminds me of the way the planets looked in the Davind Lynch Dune movie.

:pope:

post the material maps you used

they’re available with 3ds max

you all are right, lol, but still, better than my first 1/2 hr. Nice work!

it is a tut but i had redone it from when i had gmax

and my 3D Studio max i bought for £800 or $1200

whoa, thats like over 2 grand AUD :!:

i got mine from some one in an AD paper but i was brand new

i think i got it a bit cheaper

chris that is an awesome render for you first one…
check this out…take that same scene and move the light source to the left and do a render and it will add a little more depth. right now you have the light source head on and it isn’t giving much shadow… but it is awesome for your first go round:thumb:

thank you

when i can be asked i will boot up 3DS (man it takes a long time) and play around with cameras and lights

maybe add some other stuff to it
