My First Flash Site

First, Thanks to everyone on the board for helping me get this far.

This is my first site, so I am bound to have made bad choices etc…

Rip it to bits… I need to learn the hard way.

I’m a bit worried about size and performance…

This is going to be like waiting for exam results…

Cheers

Capt,

I like it  It’s small, but very nice looking. You should work on creating transitions though. Also, don’t let the in-animation of a page play again when you enter that page. The photo gallery is quite static too.

very good for a first flash site. Try adding some effects to the pictures though. And as already someone has said work on some transitions.

I think a couple of the fonts are missing (e.g the Contact button is shown as Times New Roman for me…) embed those so we see the proper font (assuming it isn’t the proper font ;))

other than that: great first site! really impressive! :thumb:

preloader thing reminds me FFFs’…

yah i think its great for a first flash webby… clean and very good… keep it up… i like it!

Thanks for the replies,

I’ve a couple of questions if I may.

  1. “Bit Small” - I’ve tried to make sure that the site works on a minimum of 800 X 600, but it does look small on high res machines. How can I make everyone happy?

2)“Transitions” - I struggled a bit with the transitions tutorial on kirupa, I’ll have another go, I’m sure I’ll get it this time.

  1. “Fonts” - My Mistake, it should be fixed now.

  2. Who or what is FFF’s ? My preloader was a bit of a “Friday Afternoon” job.

FFF = Fonts For Flash. It’s a website where you can download fonts especially created for Flash.

I see it… I don’t know if the idea came from there or not… It wasn’t intentional, honest!
