My first website. I just wanted to get some thoughts on it, it’s obviously not complete. I am waiting on some things like updates to the pages from people in my company.We’re then we’re buying the backend database so I can actually make the collapsible menu link to something. I wanted some input on the look of it. The bottom banner doesn’t fit well, I know, it’s just some random tutorial I did and I threw in company name. I’m currently awaiting our graphic guys new banners, thanks for input in advance.

I am not really seeing why this site is in flash, it would work the sam exact way if it was xhtml and css. You use some ugly font, nothing is consistent. Why is the side bar in a little scrollable pane?? When it could easily not be. Your drop shadows are a little too much and don’t line up with the others. I can’t even read the text in the footer. I would suggest trying to make things all look like the belong with each other, use a nice looking serif font, and redo the thing in xhtml and css.

I agree, work on the readability of the Font (especially in the header and footer), scrollabilty of the menu at the right (no scrolling) and at least adjust the contact area, you just took directly the files from the tutorial and paste it there, change the font and lining/shadow matching with the site’s style, takes about 5 minutes and makes a big difference.

Still needs some work, and maybe concider to do it in xhtml, as there is no need for flash, otherwise include some nice transitions and better animating buttons, look for inspiration here:

I like the tweening on the sidebar left, can I have the code:P

one obvious issue is that its basic AS, ie the menu is there but hidden hence the scrollbar detects it and has a giant gap

And yes the footer and header need work cause they are just temporarily there while I wait for the graphic guy here to hand me stuff. Just threw some stuff together for those spots so the space would be taken up.
