My old Xbox is dying! It can’t read most disks, never reads OXM disks, and can play Halo only on multiplayer. It also has troubles with loading (on halo the preloader starts to go backwards on campaign?!). The worst of it all is that it leaves grooves and circular scratches all over my disks! I just got Halo 2 and in one day it already is just totally covered with scratches. Luckily my other newer Xbox has no problem with the scratched disk.
My current theory is that the lense is rubbing on the disk which would explain the scratches and the troubles with reading the disks.
Has this happened to any of you guys? How can I fix it? Do I just get rid of my old beloved Xbox??!!
