(n00b) idea, dunno if it's feasible: movies across frames

Ok my question is this: Is there any way to have multiple movies across multiple frames, but have them interact in such a way that the frames become hidden?

Example: The aquarium effect often used here, having the bubbles move across frames, giving the illusion that say, a DHTML layer or standard HTML frame is “above” the Flash movie that is playing.

I know you can use actionscript functions to draw resources to a flash movie in a different frame (or at least i think… heh) but i’d like to know if this is possible

Each frame plays one at a time but more than one time line can be active … not sure if that is what you mean

you might be talking about layers that overlap (???)
…the higher up layers will play in front of the lower ones giving the illusion of one being “above” the other

and Yes, AS can define shapes/colors/lines and tell them to go from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’ but it does so frame by frame
