Hey, folks, I’ve been looking forward to posting this thread for a long time now. I’m prepping to order the parts for a new rig to start off the new year. I want to build the ideal system for a interactive media developer/designer (and occasional gamer). My budget will be $2500. I already have a new monitor I got for Christmas. and I’m going to use my old monitor to create a dual display.
I haven’t built a desktop in almost 4 years so I’m a little behind the power curve as far as hardware goes. Would someone like to post the ideal power rig that will keep me in the $2500 price range? I’d like your opinions on the best of the following hardware:
- case
- intel processor
- ram
- mobo
- HD
- sound card
- video card
- dvdrw/cdrw drives
- mouse/keyboard
- any other hardware you think would be helpful to a developer
