oh yea i didn’dt explain to you what i did did i…

alrite so i copied and pasted the black grey thing into what i called ‘window 2’, its a movie clip symbol.

then i made a new symbol and called it window2mc. in that, i opened up the library, drag and dropped the ‘window 2’ onto the window2mc screen.

i tweened it.

went to the main page, drag and dropped window2mc onto there.

made hte red box and converted it to a symbol

stuck the code in! DONE!

oh yea i learnt all that stuff from kirupa, i’m not that good at this compard to otheres here, stick around here and you’ll improvveeee!

i copy the grey and black ones and then i but the code in but then the box doesnt move when i click bio

oh yea i forgot you havta put a frame label on the tween, and change the code to the frame label.

so now it says blah blah gotoAndPlay (“move2”)

move2 was the frame label i gave it, so if you change this you gotta change the frame label and vice versa!

maybe that was why!?

alrite lets take this slowly.

ok make sure you do all these steps before you continue…

  1. make a new movie clip symbol, name it whatever you want and copy paste the black grey thing onto it.
  2. go back to the main scene, create a new symbol again
  3. in the symbol just created, drag drop the firs tsymbol created.
  4. on one of the frames (say 15), create keyframe and do create motion tween.
  5. at the properties panel, give it a frame label. click on frame 1-15 and the properties panel will say frame label.
  6. add a stop sign at frame 1 and 15
  7. drag drop the stuff on main scene
  8. create the red box or whatever and type the code, changign the frame label
  9. DONE!

when you made that red button u put this code in
on (release) {
_root.window2.gotoAndPlay(“move2”);
}

wats the (“move2” cause i made a movie and i tried that and i doesnt make the window move :frowning:

thats the frame label thing i was talkin about, if you look at the fla i gave back to you, and right click on the window i made, then go to edit…inside you will see the tweens i did and it will say ‘move2’.

so when you make yours, do the same, just change the ‘move2’!

i notcied that the button you made was a movie clip but then the buttons i made where made “buttons” not movie clips would it still work ?
