Netscape 7's GUI rocks but still doesn't support DHTML?

I’ve finally downloaded the Netscape 7 from their site and I must say that the GUI rocks! Very smooth and feature packed to boot! The downside is that it doesn’t really support all DHTML stuff, HTML table layouting, CSS and Flash transparency.

In one of my website I linked my CCS file where it works perfect with IE. With Netscape 7 the background image doesn’t show up. I just kept on thinking why did I download Netscape 7 in the 1st place. ??? Why is it that most of my CSS doesn’t work on Netscape when, I think, compatability issues regarding the matter were resolved at W3C? Why doesn’t Flash transparency work on it? Why doesn’t some HTML layouting work?

Ever wondered the same?

:-\

PS. Just in case you think my file is the problem, I’m attaching it here! hehehe

Well just because its a new version of Netscape doesn’t mean it is going to be more like IE.

Netscape and IE use two different engines and interpret information differently.

Frankly, I love NS7, over all the other versions of NS, this one is the best IMO. It does support more than previous Netscapes, but there are still things that only work in NS and some things that only work in IE. Its the browser world and that is how it works.

Unfortunately :frowning:

I agree with you. I like NS7 too! Somehow the GUI rivals that of IE6. Now I use NS7 to test my pages for “errors” that would somehow go unnoticed when using IE.

Thanks Lost!
