Well, here goes.
I’m trying to get my box (pc) to connect to the internet trough my laptop’s wireless connection. The laptop is connected to my wireless router (wirelessly of course).
They’re both running on win XP.
At the moment I’m connecting the two with an ethernet cable and the connection seem okay. The local area connection says it’s working on both ends but I can’t get the box to access the internet. I have set my wireless connection to “allow other computers to connect to the internet through this connection”. What else must I do? I’ve fiddled around with the tcp/ip settings on the box and laptop changing information to that of the router but nothing seems to work.
I know it sounds hopeless but I’m sure someone out there has enough brains/experience to help me out a little.
