New AS Experiment: Jump Orbs

Hey people, been a while since I posted any Flash experiments around here.

I just finished this one today.

http://www.lostinbeta.com/experimental/jumpOrbsAS.html

It is a bit jumpy (no pun intended), but oh well get over it :stuck_out_tongue: :trout:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Adjust the sliders to mess with the settingsā€¦

Mouseover the orbs to see what happensā€¦

Should be simple enoughā€¦ easier than 1, 2, 3

Woahā€¦

thats really cool lost
I think it should be Affected area thoā€¦ wait, maybe not
Yeah idk

Looks awesome thoā€¦ very impressive

oh oh i seen this before, i made a couple before to.
no big deal!

haha just kidding, this is awsome!!! i can barely keep up with you. Keep up the good work and i look forward to seeing what else you come up with

No, you are right, I mispelled the label. I spelled the variables right, but not the label textā€¦ man, if only my error was behind the scenes :-\ :stuck_out_tongue:

wowser i corrected lost
i should get like 2398472398472398473298 and a half points for that
but stillā€¦ man thats amazing

Alex: Thanks

28: I fixed the error now

:beam:

wow man very cool! makes me want to read my as book faster!

seen many of those, but still a nice experiment

:: off to make my own :stuck_out_tongue: ::

as usual lost, you are impressive. Now, if I could just incorporate
your programming with my designs, weā€™d be rich!

Great workā€¦love it. =)

ahmed: Yeah, iā€™ve seen it a lot too, thats why I decided to do it, I am so uninspired for something original, I saw this on a site and was likeā€¦ hmmā€¦ lemme try that. Mine in particular is done completely in AS though, nothing on the stage or in the library :beam:

Unflux: Thanksā€¦ all I need to do is incorporate your design ability into my brain and I could destroy you all!!! ok, not really, but I can dream :(

hehe ok, but I said ā€œwe!ā€

same here

very nice, although i think this must be not too complicated right?, it is just changing the x / y scale and alpha as the mouse gets closer right? :beam:

its definetly cool though
gj

hawk

ahhh maaan! You make me drool dammit!
How did you make the circles escape from the **** cursor?
This is awesome!

i totally agree with all of thatā€¦

how about it thenā€¦ partner

ha ha

Hawk: Yes, I do scale it up as the mouse gets closer, and I change the alpha as well. But I also make the clip avoid the mouse too, so that adds a little more ā€œcomplicationā€ to it. It really isnā€™t that difficult though.

Syko: Wouldnā€™t you like to know how I did it  hehehe

Anorak: ha ha
