Ummm… WOW :o

This orsinal site rocks

omg! That pixels2 thing is so freakin’ cool!
i qwonder how to make that kjinda thing

 Ok…

Wild guess:

 1. No idea
 2. Motion tween I think. Simple rollover that makes the tween play. It wouldn’t run as smoothe if it was scripted.
 3. Clever use of masks. :-\
 4. That one is ultra cool. A bunch of masks, and inside each a picture that moves.

That guy is talented for sure…

pom :cowboy:

Pom, I don’t think #2 was tweened… try rolling over one letter a couple of times, the effect is different each time

The pixels shoot out at a random angle… :-\

Tough…

Oh btw, this game is TOO cute:

Any ideas on how it was done?

You’re right… :beam: :beam:

And look at this one…

http://www.ferryhalim.com/orisinal/text/pixels1.htm

It is actually done with tiny images!!!

Has anyone used the program “firestarter” ?

It has a few effects like the ones above… The only problem I found with the prog, is that they disabled the import possibilities, so you couldn’t add it to another movie…

They say they have added AS capabilities, so maybe they fixed the issue above…

Rev:elderly:

Ya the stuff that this guy makes is crazy. I thought a lot of people would have been to his site before(or mabye you had I don’t no) His is the first site ot come up if you type flash games into google. If anyone has seen any tutorials on how do stuff remotly like this please drop a link. Especaly #1 because I need a similar effect on a site design.

Also I think number 2 is just roll over that spreds the pixels out randomly. The thing I dont get is how he gets them to return to the origoal location. if some one can figure that out I might be able to actualy build that one.

i want to know as well :stuck_out_tongue:

my god, that site is great! Thanks alot for link - I wish I was advanced enough to help you with what you need

I wish the same…

But wishing gets me nowhere, I just have to want it bad enough to work for it… man I wish things were easier…hahaha :stuck_out_tongue:

OK, then let’s pick out one and dissect it…

If I had to choose from the list of 4 in the first post here, I think I would like to know how to do pixels2

OK, my opinion on the subject: the first thing to do is to define the shape of the letters. The easiest would probably to do that in an array (5 by 5 or maybe a bit more). Then you attach your clips according to the array. And finally you give them that nice motion. Should be doable

Oh boy, time for me to brush up more on arrays.

I’ll try to do something WHEN I FINISH THIS ********* EXAM!!!

And arrays are not that bad. :stuck_out_tongue:

No, arrays aren’t that bad. I know how to write them and stuff, I just don’t know how to make them do anything useful.

Good luck on the exam Ilyas

Well, do you see why they would be useful here?
