Not to be rude and I know your just starting out but I personally think the entire site needs a makeover.
The bg image is a jpg i beleive and you have it set to a gif so the image comes out pixelated like gmh said. So you want to fix that.
Again, not to be rude but the site looks a little to Swish almost.
