Hey, I’ve been looking to make a personal Flash site as kind of a portfolio thing and to get Flash experience. And I have a blog already that I was hoping to put in there as well, if possible. I went through Kirupa’s nice tutorial on displaying XML in Flash and got it to work with some blog entries.
The problem: My blog entries often have links to other sites inside the text, and this of course confuses things with the XML tags and keeps it from displaying. Is there a way I can format these HTML tags so that they are processed and displayed as links? Maybe PHP parsing?
PS though I am looking for a real webhost and will probably invest in one soon, at the moment I am using my university’s webhosting service which doesn’t allow server side scripts of any kind. If that is required (and I have a feeling it is) please let me know. Thanks!
