I figured I’d keep making tutorials. It had been awhile since before the XML thing and it was pretty good getting back into writing them. It gave me something to do and I even learned a thing or two myself from the XML deal. Now the question is what next?
I have a few in progress:
- Preloaders
- Dynamically change a movieclips registration point
- Beginners guide to actionscript
- Extending Fireworks (possibly Flash inclusive - kind of without direction)
- Creating FMX2004 components
and a couple planned for specific XML examples.
I had planned (I think) the XML examples next. Those currently in mind were a navigable map with elements populated from XML and the collapsing XML menu thing (like the one lost and I did and the one kirupa made from that).
Should I finnish off the XML stuff or work on something else? Some of the in-progress tutorials are getting kind of big and messy (preloaders, for example - I think I might just kill anything MX04 related with that and save MX04 preloaders for another time because covering MX04 makes it huge), so I don’t know how much enthusasm I’ll have for making them (of the big ones I think I’m less frustrated with the components tutorial). The others seem to be just lacking direction… eh, heh I dont know. Just looking for suggestions here. What should I tackle next? Anything from above? Anything new?
