No content, just the design

Hey people,
This is a site I have just started working on, well it’s my first flash project in over two years so I tried to work with the drawing API a little bit since I kinda totally missed out on Flash MX (working in MX 2004 now)
There’s not much to see just yet, I have yet to haul in some good photography to put on (probably have to do it myself) and somebody else is on the content, so there is none available just yet, but you will see the space it’s gonna fill up.
well without further ado; here it is: [ link ]

Don’ reckon it will blow anyone away but i would like to get some comment on it anyway :whistle:

I don’t know why you would need to site check this… it’s already so simple. If it looks clean to you, it probably looks clean to others. But anyways, good job.

My Mozilla caught that nasty pop-up…good Mozilla. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah it is really hard to say how it will turn out without any content, it’s not all about design and graphics but also on how you bring the data to the user, in my case I pimp it. :stuck_out_tongue: (means make it cool as in my username).

Personally I think there isn’t much to the design, come lines and a component scroller bar but hey…that’s me. Some like it simple.

well, seen the audience this website aims for ((aging)chemical scientists) I wouldn’t like to overdo the graphics part too much (acts like he could…) anyway, as soon as the autumn leaves start to really show up here, I’ll have some nice photography instead of the pictures I have now, and maybe I’ll try to add some effect to them…
Also I don’t know when I receive the text to add to it, but I can asure u it wont be anymore interesting than what u are reading now.

all in short; it is the purpose of this website to be clear and functional, and I was wondering how you experience it, like that.

take the blue border of the splash image. Its a very clean simple site :thumb:

yah … get rid of the folow the mouse thingy on the right… its irelivent to the site and has no dynamical relitivity to it… the sites bland a tad… (maby to white) and the splash page … doesnt have anything to do with steryos. and one more thing… VANILA ICE CREAM ROCKS!!!

okay a square, some letters from a honda with a wing, and a line that magically translates, you could simplify it a bit more by just writing the actual text for the menu instead of the japanese, unless of course the site is japanese, hard to tell without any content.

Nice square though, photoshop?

I will check it with content then maybe I will have something to comment on, anyway good luck,
