yes, this is a thread about Star Trek as opposed to the mod named Scotty.
Who else see’s this as a disaster?

I love Simon Pegg. I liked him in Spaced, I loved Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz is a great film with Run Fat Boy Run on my “must watch” list but this just has disaster stamped all over it.
Also an additional question…do we want a Star Trek Prequel movie?
I think the Next Generation carried on comfortably from Kirk and Spock but they had a tv show. It was easy to get used to the characters week in week out and to come to the realisation that Picard could kick Kirks a$s while barely breaking sweat. Ok these aren’t new characters but what I think we’re going to get is younger actors giving us their Bones impression and Scotty impressions. I can just see Christian Slater turning and saying “Nuklear wessels”. I ain’t going to the cinema to see that.
Anyone thoughts?
