Site Requirements
Websites submitted must be at least 50% Flash. We have decided to broaden the spectrum for SotW entries, so that sites which are a fusion of technologies may be entered. However, since we are predominantly a Flash forum, we do still ask that Flash forms a substantial element of your site - having one or two games hidden away inside isn’t good enough.
We understand that sites are perpetually under construction, but please submit only complete sites. Do not submit a site that is less than 80% completed. It is difficult to judge sites that have no content.
Submissions must be actual live websites with sections and content. Examples of ineligible include (but not limited to) flash games, movies, etc.
Works containing objectionable or offensive material are automatically disqualified and deleted. Keep it clean please!
We (the moderators) reserve the right to disqualify a site at any time.

How to Submit a Site: To be eligible for Site of the Week, you must post a reply by Friday in the current weekly thread. It will appear as a sticky thread at the very top of the SOTW forum, usually entitled “Submit here” followed by the current date.
Under no circumstances should you start a new thread. From now on, any site check requests, project plugs, or invalid submissions will be deleted without hesitation. If you simply want feedback, or wish to point out an exceptional site, then post your thread in Site Check. This will give the SOTW forum a more concentrated purpose and organize submissions so no one is left out and the votes remain as unbiased as possible.
All entrants in SotW can be viewed by members, by clicking on the links in the submission threads. If a member wishes to comment on one of these submissions, then please do not do so in the thread. Either start a new thread in Site Check, or PM the entrant directly. Members are not allowed to vote on SotW.
Submissions will be capped at 10 participants per week. This keeps it feasible for moderators to sort through submissions, vote and critique. The thread will be locked once the maximum number of entries is reached. If you have missed this week’s thread, you will be welcome to submit in the next thread.
Each person is only allowed one submission per week; it would be unfair for one person to take up additional slots with a limit in submissions. This is on a first come first serve basis, so don’t hesitate or wait until the last minute to submit your site. If you have more than one site, you are free to enter the second in another week.
If you have previously entered SotW and not won, then you are allowed to re-submit your site. We encourage people to take on board the feedback they are given to improve their sites, and consider re-submission to be a way of continuously improving your work. Having said this however, don’t keep posting until you win. If you do, your entries will be disqualified immediately.
I encourage you to please peruse through the SOTW Winners Archive to get a better idea of the calibre of websites that generally receive the award.

A private poll will be held among the moderators every weekend.
They take into consideration all aspects of the sites submitted, including use of Flash, originality, design, colour schemes, navigation etc.
The weekly results will be posted on the Tuesday following a given weekly run. Some of the moderators will also write critiques on each of the sites, offering advice and suggestions based on what they have seen. For more personal critiques, you can post your link in Site Check.
The moderators have a choice to vote None of the Above, along with the other entries, to ensure that only the high quality sites will receive the award.
The moderators descision is final.
