Open With Files

ok to get you guys started there seems to be a problem everytime i download a image,music,video,zip or certain extension files.
It comes up as a openwith and i have to search for the program to openm it with is there any possable chance you guys can help me out i really hate the looks on the Open With files.

One thing i havent checked was updates ill go do that now while you guys help your buddy and try figuring out this bad problem.

well it’s not really a problem. it may be just that you don’t have any programs that will run the type of file you’re trying to download. can you give the extension of the file you’re downloading? with zips, make sure you have winzip or some other compatible compression program to open it up.

Thanks but i have all the programs witch will user the files i just have to go through the Open With to get to program witch makes it work and it really makes me mad.

Open explorer, then click on "tools: then “folder options” then “file types tab”

delegate which progs open what files from there.

Wow what a cawinky dink i just did that like 10 minuts agpo and it still seems to not work.

If you never posted that thing i qould of never tried it again i just got all of my GIF files to work now for the rest

In the open with dialog there should be a box you can chack that says always use this program to open this file type. Check that and it should work for you. If not its regedit time. =0)
