Very Much Help Needed Please

Hey I installed photoshop 7 and accidentally selected all of the file types to associate with it… and I cant figure out how to change it back.

I have windows 2000. What program did I originally use to open picture files? I can’t even set my background to a JPG anymore.

Please help.

Right click on your picture file, go to “Open With”, in there go to “Choose Program”, check the “Always use this program to open this kind of file file” checkbox, and then select “Windows Picture and Fax Viewer” as the program to open it then hit OK.

OK that program isnt listed… do you know where it is installed?

That might be a Windows XP thing, I haven’t used Win 2000 so that might use something else.

What did your images used to open in? Well whatever it was… use that :beam:

Lol thats what I was asking… :hair: I thought it was picture viewer or something like that but it doesnt work.

Ok, I did a very quick search and I read a few times that Windows 2000 uses Internet Explorer as it’s default Image Viewer. (which is what all previous versions of Windows uses as well)

you could get Irfan View, it’s a little freeware program that’s really good for looking at jpegs, other images and even sounds. It loads so quickly, and if you have a whole directory of pics, you can just press space to cycle thru them. I love it…
