Optimizing Imported pics in Flash MX

Hi All,

I’ve been working on a project where I have made a lot of the interface objects in PS and then imported into Flash. I was wondering if it is a good idea to use the “trace bitmap” feature in Flash MX and whether this actually lowers the file size. It seems to but of course when you trace the bitmap it becomes hundreds or thousands of vector objects.

What experience has been best for you? Which method gives you the larger file sizes? Imported jpegs or the thousands of vector objects.
