With the upcoming release of the X1950, prices on ‘legacy’ ATI cards have plummeted, which as far as I’m concerned is the best time to buy.
So, with that in mind, I’ve eschewed nVidia for the first time in a while, and ordered an X1900 XTX, which of course is a 512MB card. It is currently one of the top two video cards on the market, and while it will be unseated quite soon with the release of the X1950, it’s still way more than enough to play almost any game available. (We all know that I don’t need it for Flash.)
Anyhow, I’m pretty happy about it [whisper]Though the EJEotD - enjoyable event of the day - award goes to the love-filled thread in the Random section[/whisper] and I’ll let you all know how it goes.
One question - do you all personally think that Driver Cleaner is sufficient to remove my current nVidia drivers, or should I wipe the drive? I’d really rather not reformat, as I just got done updating everything, but I’m willing to do it if it will avoid tons of driver conflicts.
Thoughts?
