Hello! I’m Pedicab! I’m new in this forum and I would like to show you some of the photos I’ve taken using a Sony T7 5.1 Megapixel Cyber-shot Camera. I enjoy photography as some of you enjoy rendering and editing. I know the camera I use is not a professional one, but it’s the best one I have so far so I’m sticking with it until I get a better one. Feel free to leave some comments of how I can improve my photos. No flaming please!
I’ve been taking photos for over a month now. My friends had me addicted to it. Thanks for the comment! I took that Kanji paper in my Japanese class, I was bored to death.
I like the first photo with the kids playing best. Pity you clipped out the boy on the left though. I’m wondering - was this picture black and white originally, or did you desaturate it? From what i’ve heard the, desaturating a color photo compared to taking a b/w photo will not give a good result. Also, it’s better to learn how to use color - if it doesn’t look good in color, it won’t look good in b/w either.
Anyway, i think the background is too dark.
imo, sunsets will always be tacky, so unless you really really need it, i think you should refrain from taking such pictures.
The equalizer - did you remember to set the correct white balance? It’s seems to be a bit too red.
Keep in mind that the delay when you take a picture with your camera will almost always ruin motives where you have to catch the moment. Go for SLR when you buy a new camera.
The boy on the left wasn’t cropped out :S I took this shot from the bottom angle with my camera sideways so I can take the ball therefore the boy on the left was taken out except some of his body and his head. It is black and white originally and I didn’t desaturate it. I chose black and white for this picture because it was bright outside that time, it was 2-3pm in the afternoon and pictures wouldn’t look nice with bright colors all over.
That sunset picture isn’t the sunset, it was the sunrise–just to correct (I should put descriptions next time). It was taken early in the morning and I thought I could take the shot of the sun when it’s not fully bright yet. This picture was originally dark and I had to brighten it up a bit in Photoshop.
The equilizer wasn’t edited, it was my stupid light that made it sort of reddish-orange color.
Finally… SLRs are super expensive :S I’m planning to get one in the future to have better quality pictures, but for now I’m stuck with a Cyber-shot.
Thanks for the comment mikken! I appreciate it! I’ll keep in mind some of the things you’ve said
i like :thumb: specially th tin roof and the kanji…the tin roof is just crying out to be made into some kind of composition/design its got so much structure and such strong elements of form and shape…:be:
Dont know if you have the option but play with the exposure and the oberture. I had one good photo site where people upload their photos and other people posted about them. Some of them were very good. Unfortunatelly I lost the url
If you have the money buy a Nikon (i have a d70 and works perfectly to me )
nice photos. i wish i could try digital photo for a change. to be honest i prefer film over digital. i find film(grains) warmer compare to digital(pixel). the good thing with digital is its WYSIWYG feature.
Dont know if you have the option but play with the exposure and the oberture
Am I losing something here, or should oberture be aperture?
Anyway a little tip: If you can get your hands on a cheap film camera (not the compact type) before you have the cash to buy a digital SLR, you’ll probably learn a lot, especially about shutter speed and aperture, which works in the same way on a digital cam.
You have a decent eye for photography. It would be good to see what you can accomplish when you can manually adjust exposure, stops, focal length etc. But i understend an DSLR is pretty expensive. Ever thought about a cheap second hand SLR? An old Pentax is a great place to start…That is if you wanna get a bit more serious and allow lots of scope and diversity in the shots you could accomplish?
