Just felt like saying that.
Over the past few months, there has been numerous times where my already lacking trust in human nature has been significantly decreased.
It all culminated tonight when my parents were driving home from Vancouver in the rain when they were almost killed by a car being drive erratically, apparently by a drunk driver. They clipped my parents’ rental car, which then went spinning off the road and down a hill where the car rolled a few times.
They were unhurt - amazingly - and I’m glad for that. But what really makes me mad are the facts that, for one, the idiot had the complete disregard for my parents’ lives, his life, the life of everyone else on the road, the emotional well-being of his friends and family, state of public property to grab the keys to a car when he knew full well he was in no state to drive. Secondly, he just speeds off after his car gets a few scratches from hitting a light pole and my parents’ car is lying in the ditch.
I am sick and tired of people like this being told time and time again not to do it - and they go ahead and do it anyway, completely ignorant to all the possible repercussions of their actions. And the complete lack of kindness to even look if the people they almost killed were alright is equally as disheartening.
