hi, i have completed the exercise to this tutorial and the one thing i dunno what to do is how to start the actually movie on frame three, what layer do i start in and do i ahve to put a code or something, if someone can help me out id really appreciate thanks! bye!
Post the code you are using so I can see whats what.
It doesn’t matter what layer your content is on, as long as it’s on frame 3 then it will start playing.
So let’s say you have 5 layers of content to your movie, you want to make sure all of those layers start on frame 3.
do i jsut put insert keyfram for the third frame and start my movie?
Yes, work from frame 3.
that depends on the code you are using, you might need to put that when loaded it goes to frame three
He’s using the tutorial found on kirupa so it does start on frame 3.
So he just has to do the key frame on 3 with his content then
when i look at it in a browser it just loads the page, the flash move hasnt been loaded on the page yet
Are you testing it on your comp? If so then the preloader won’t show up.
You can test your preloader while in flash by pressing Ctrl Enter and then Enter again to use the bandwidth simulator.

You’ll need to upload it to a remote server if you want to test it live.
what do you mean remote server, would a free hosting site work?
That’s what I meant, a remote server is a host.
