Preloader from kirupa tut

I made a preloader by following your tutorial called “percentage preloader w/load bar” however I decided I don’t want the bar, I just want the percentage. I finished it. but, I don’t know how to apply it to my flash movie. how do I do that? is the preloader and the flash movie (which is my website) supposed to all be in the same file? or do I somehow link the preloader to the movie? I don’t know, your tutorial didnt explain this part. please help. thanks
