Just got a new phone and been using it for about a week or so. So I am going to call this a rolling review. I will update as I go. As 1 week is not a good amount of time to get through all the features.
First off - the Look
I was thrown back a bit by the look. It is not quite as sleek as the Tilt from AT&T but it grew on me. The gun-metal and brushed metal look is kinda cool. Tho I wish they had it in black. The button layout is nice on first glance. You can easily tell what does what and they are space appropriately. I founf it weird that the expansion card deal is on the bottom, but no biggie there.
Its a little on the bulky side compared to the Q I was about to get.
The features.
So far it has everything I am looking for in a smartphone. Blue tooth, Wi-Fi, push email, sync with office, calendar, tasks…the typical mumbo jumbo. The 2 mp camera is better than I thought it was going to be. SOme have complained about it but I found it if not average just above it. The speaker phone works good for me. I can hear folks and they can hear me in noisy situation. The slide mechanism seems kinda light and flimsy, but no issues yet with that. What I have quickly come to love is the spring loaded buttons and the large qwerty keyboard. I always thought of it as a gimick, the spring loaded buttons. But it does make a difference for me. So far it is one of the faster phones I have owned. Camera loads quick, software is responsive and quick. I haven’t experienced a crash yet.
I haven’t got really deep into the syncing and wi fi yet. but it is rather straight forward to set up and works well. The screen is nice and bright and the touch screen works cool for even those with big fingers. The collapsible stylus is sweet too. It also has the scroll wheel which is nice as well.
Its running window mobile 6 with Live messenger and all the latest media player and stuff. Works extremely well. There are lots of mods for the phone as well. But I will save that for later in the review.
This is a just a little bit to chew on. I will update this review shortly as I get off into the advanced stuff. So far this phone gets a big thumbs up.
