Photoshop 7 glow quesiton

ok so i was using this tutorial:

and it was great and everything, i got it to work, but you see at the end it has that part where it says

‘you can continue by adding glow’ blah blah blah…

how do you add it? i know its in the same place as where you get drop shadow…but which glow? inner glow? outter glow?

i was also wondering if you would have to make a new layer for it because its not in the same shape as the word. I’m new to this so bare with me :slight_smile: thx

oh btw, i meant that big blue thign that takes up nearly the whole background, not the color surrounding the text. i’m not sure how to do that either though so it would be nice if you told me which effect that was and i could experiment with it thx :slight_smile:

outer glow glows on the outside lines…iner is inside. so it depends what you need…

hmm ok so i’ve just tried to get that big blue thing behind the word to work using outer glow…
is that what i’m suppose to be using?

it sort of works but its taking up a lot of space and i’ve tried making the range in it smaller…how could i control which direction and everything it should go?

actually i think i got it fixed you just gotta change the contou thing right…anywayz thx for helpin merry christmas <:}
