I have been trying to learn the finer arts of photoshop, as i still dont feel i can create graphics of a useable standard.
Here is an attempt all done in photoshop from a blank file , im reasonably pleased with it, what do other people think ??
Im not actually using this graphic, im more interested if people feel it “could” be used quality wise.
EDIT: doh forgot to ask about 3d modelling programs…i need to find an easyish to use 3d program for constructing abstract shapes for use in photoshop graphics manipulation…anyone know a good easy to learn program ? as making these types of shapes in photoshop is limited and hard work.
I have blender 3d (free one) but it has a completely alien interface which i do not like.
I know 3d studio max, is good, but there is also maya and lightwave and probably many others and i do not understand them enough to rate how good they are.
correct me if im wrong but , isnt swift3d a 3d animation tool rather than a modeller ? or can you make model in swift 3d.
You see id like for example to be able to make a 3d shape and then export it as a jpg or gif to then use in photoshop, i have many techniques i can use once i have the 3d shape to make a picture out of it, but have no source of Original 3d shapes thus i want to have 3d program specifically for creating static 3d shapes.
you are sorta right , it hasent got the most powerful modelling features , but it can model using the lathe and extrusion tools. which is why i said you can draw a profile or shape in illustrator and import that into swift for more complex shapes. its a cheaper alternative.
Swift3d v 3 can export to jpg, tiff, using the bitmap renderer, again its not the best way to do it, but a cheaper alternative.
check out swift3d.com (or is it erain.com?) for examples on it’s modelling power.
hm…made that image from a tutorial, now did ya?
i agree with soul…abit dark, some dodge here and there may do the trick.
i’m not too good at adding those trendy lines and stuff…but i feel that those lines are a little out of place (sorry can’t elaborate more, i don’t really know about this)
pretty cool tutorials there and already with those tutes and new masters of photoshop ones i feel im improving, considering before i steered well clear of photoshop for fear of creating “chunky bevelled monstrosities”
