I love to walk through the local music store and look at all of the CD jewel case designs. So, I thought it would be fun to try it out:
Artist/band name: [insert favorit band here]
Album name: [insert album name here]
Specs:
Width: 5.5 inches
Height: 4.5 inches
Anybody interested?

CD label dimensions are roughly, circular with:
inner diameter of 1 5/8"
outer diameter of 4 5/8"
or about 1.5 and 4.5 inches which is about 1.5 all around:

btw Sen - I was just thinking a jewel case. If you guys want we could do the CD itself too…
ah… oh well the jewel case sounds even better… but the CD could go good along with that 
ok im up for that, what prgrams weallowed to use? and how long we got?
I’m thinking any progys. No animation though. Tomorrow I can get more exact specs for the sizes, including jewel cases and CDs. I can even whip up some templates. 
Oh and length… I suppose a mod could decide that, but I dont think we need much more than say a week.

wicked, count me in! :+) yeah i think that jewel case design would be a better idea…
but, if we were to design the actual cd, then someone should whip up a template so that we can all work off the same base.

sounds good to me, i don’t think we need to worry about a tiny bit of space…
nope. I also dont think we should bother with the CD iteself… Maybe just the jewel case… What do you think?

:checks those american standard inches and converts them into metrical millimeters:
roughly 2.5cm to an inck mlk. any way if they make templates you won’t have to worry about it.
