truthfuly opacity changes wouldnt be right, instead you should try and fill the pixel are with the approx color that would be produced (if you used different op settings)… but in the end it doesnt really matter

hey mods… just looking to possibly bend the rules… I think the 400 X 400 is a good size limit (160,000 total pixels)), could I make mine say 150 px high and 1000 wide (150,000 total… which is under max pixels) - would this be ok with everyone??? If not I can understand, but I have to ask.
An answer ASAP would be greatly appreciated!!

I agree Syko, but technically it is byond the 400 X 400 dimensions (just not over the total pixel size)… hopefully a mod will bless this and I can continue with my idea!

technicall mine is under size… but its physical width is beyond 400 so I have to check…

I guess since I set the first rules on this one I’d better intervene and set the record straight.
I originally said 400 x 400 as I thought that would be a reasonably achieveable size in the time limit and didn’t want you to all have a panic attack under your desks. But I’m flexible with this.
Ryall, if you want to make yours 150 x 1000, then that’s cool. In fact, to be fair, I’ll say that the dimensions of your image should be under a total of 160,000 pixels. Then you can warp the height and width to your satisfaction.
I know pixel art is difficult and painstaking, so let’s not make it impossible too.

I vote change too… in fact I was just coming to this thread to say that I’d have to forfeit, because there is no way between my work, the holidays and an unfortunate family episode a few days ago that I would be able to have something ready.
I might have to forfeit anyway though - if you change it to the 28th that is. I am going to be leaving for Arizona for the holiday and wont get back till the 29th - then New Years shortly after! I"ll let you all decide, because I am the one with the life that went nuts! If I can make the date you decide I’m definitly in, if not… I’ll start a new pixel battle after the New Year so I can participate in something… just post what you guys think…

Ug, I was really looking forward to this… A large battle with tons of people… I dunno why everybody always forfeits…:-\
I dunno about everyone always forfieting, I dont visit the battle forum very much (as I havent been in one)… I agree it sucks - if you only knew what was going with my life… I hope we can just keep the battle, and extend it beyond the holidays, and like I said if not, I want to start another at that time.
