I have noticed a trend where items in the grocery store have nicer packaging than what I remember from back-in-the-day. This article highlights this for pasta!

I worked in package design back in the day - real cut and paste with an X-acto-knife and rubber cement! I’m not sure if it’s comforting to mention that nothing has really changed since then. Sure computers with their powerful image editing has altered the job field but the end product is still all about deception. Making the consumer product within the packaging seem bigger, better, desirable, and a bargain!
