NOt bad but it is a littel big. It won’t fit a smaller resolution. There are still alot of users at 800x600 who will have troubles viewing the site. The menu was cool but you should label it menu so ppl know thats what it is. Also the Finacial button you have to click twice before it spins when the others you only have to click once. A little sound wuldn’t hurt either. Nice work and start

Looking good so far.
Well I think you have a lot of wasted space at the moment. If you fill that area with some content and call it Home that might work?
The colors could do with some tweaking. It’s a site for students so you can be a bit more adventures. On average younger people seem to like brighter colors and older people like more watered down colors.
The animation seems a little slow and choppy. Add some life by animating the text and text boxes in a fun way. Maybe give the buttons some movement on mouse over?
The fonts could also do with a bit of a revamp [again this is just MHO]. There are loads of free fonts you can choose from that may look a bit better and help create a fun atmosphere for your users.
Just outa interest, are you in charge of the content?
