It’s the beginning of a campaign year, and for me, that means lots of work
I do a lot of little sites for local candidates - it’s a good way of getting a little extra income, while supporting people you believe in.
I’ve always just built them from scratch, but this year I was thinking of using a CMS. Almost all candidates want the ability to update their site really easily, and they all want it in basically the same, simple format, so it seems like a good time to use a nice little CMS.
I don’t know much about CMS’s, but I was thinking WordPress would be a good choice. These sites are generally pretty blog-ish anyway, mostly consisting of just a few pages with some updated articles, and maybe a few extra little features. I’ve never used WordPress, but I’ve heard good things, and it seems like the right choice for this.
What do you guys think? Any experiences with WordPress, or other CMS’s that might be good?
