Hey everyone… haven’t been around in a while… so HI again! =)
I wanted some input on something I am working on. It is a poster style project that has a “pro-democracy, pro-freedom, voting is good, voice your opinion, etc…” theme behind it. This what I’ve got so far… I wanted it to stay clean/simple, but be attractive and get the message across.
I feel it is missing something, just cant put my finger on it… ideas/comments??
I definitly agree about the font… I’m gonna look for something good, that might be it. SB… well interesting you mention it, I am currently in AZ on my way to Chicago where I will be living for about a year (after which I will be returning to the SB area!)…
that’s a sweet poster in all colors actually. I agree with the font,
and before I read any of the posts is what I was gonna say.
Since it’s theme seems to be more out of peace than anything,
i would stay away from red. I actually like the green (1st one you
posted) and the white-ish one. I don’t necessarily agree it should
be red for the hand, but some other really contrasting color would
look superb – maybe the bluish-purple of the one on the left.
see I think those fonts look too…casual, comic, loopy, whatever… Im trying to convey power in the message… id like to keep it all in the same font, and I definitly dont want the FONT to stand out but rather the words… know what I mean… I see where you are coming from - the font needs more emotion behind it… I am just having a hard time finding something that is balanced between the aspects… “circle of hell” by Chaz Maviyana-Davies is a good example… man could I use any more words to explain that? and could I be less clear?
