Prob with buttons

Hi im having a problem with my rollover effect with my buttons. I have an image and text on top of the image as the button. Tho when i rollover the button if the mouse goes over the text it no longer treats it as a button but as text. Tho if the mouse only goes over the image part it works fine. Has this happned to any of yall. Also when i create text and im done editing it it leaves a border around the text. Thanks in advance
